Boab Health affirms its support for the Uluru Statement from the Heart. 

The Uluru Statement from the Heart is a landmark statement that emerged from the 2017 National Constitutional Convention of Indigenous Australians. Representing the collective wisdom of many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander delegates from all over this country, the statement calls for constitutional reforms to empower the nation’s First Peoples.

Central to the Uluru Statement’s message is the plea for a “First Nations’ Voice” enshrined in the Constitution. This Voice would provide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians with a direct say in policies and laws that affect them and their communities, promoting a more meaningful partnership between our First Nations’ peoples and our contemporary government.
