Matt Burrows

Matt has been CEO of Boab Health Services since February 2019 and has extensive leadership experience in the not-for-profit sector.  This is not Matt’s first tenure with Boab Health Services, having also been the CEO from 2006 to 2011 during a transitional period from the Kimberley Division General Practice to Boab Health Services. Matt is highly experienced in delivering health care in remote areas, having worked for nearly two decades in Kalgoorlie, Port Hedland, Alice Springs, Broome and across all the vast lands in-between. Matt is an MBA qualified Chartered Secretary and currently serves on the Governance Committee of Amnesty International Australia.  Matt is passionate about social justice and is currently a DBA Candidate with the John Curtin Institute for Public Policy at Curtin University, looking at effective governance models that empower people with disabilities as consumers of care services.  Matt is a social swimmer at the local pool and enjoys camping, cycling and snorkelling in his spare time.

Kim Lovibond

Kim is an experienced business manager having worked for almost a decade in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector.  Kim moved to Broome after working remotely in Yalata, along the Far West Coast of South Australia and with other Communities such as Tjuntjuntjara (WA) and Oak Valley (SA). Kim is passionate about closing the gap, self-determination and the provision of equitable health care around Australia. Kim has an undergraduate degree majoring in Psychology, a Master of Health Economics and Policy (Health Management) and is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management. She is also an associate of Governance Institute of Australia and is a board member for East Pilbara Independence Support. Kim loves an adventure, whether travelling overseas or exploring the great outdoors with her family.

Executive Manager Clinical Services

Amy Pearce

Amy is an experienced regional leader having worked in the Kimberley since 2013 providing remote allied health services with Boab Health Services for several years. Amy has also worked with WA Primary Health Alliance working closely with health service providers in the Kimberley in primary healthcare integration. Amy returned to Boab Health Services as Executive Manager Clinical Services in 2022.

Amy is passionate about a self-management approached in primary healthcare that focusses on achieving the person’s own health goals. Amy is a member of the Australasian College of Health Service Management and has a keen interested in clinical governance and clinical leadership. Amy loves the Kimberley lifestyle including stand up paddle boarding at Broome’s famous Cable Beach.
