Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Boab Health Services is a provider for Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) for several Kimberley-based organisations. EAP is a free counselling service for employees, that is voluntary and confidential and paid for by the employer.

EAP is designed to enhance the emotional, mental and general psychological wellbeing of employees; and in some instances, their immediate family members. Improving staff wellbeing is shown to enhance an organisation’s productivity, staff performance and retention.

Boab Health Services’ EAP counselling service is provided by our qualified and experienced mental health professionals from our mental health team. Our counsellors adopt a solution-focused, brief intervention with clients. Our counsellors listen, assist clients to develop their coping and problem-solving skills, and form a plan to address their concerns. If further support is required, we then signpost the client to access ongoing services available to them in their local community.

We deliver EAP services face-to-face at Boab Health Services premises or via telephone, video conferencing and Skype facilities.

Boab Health counsellors adhere to strict privacy and confidentiality standards – what is discussed in sessions with clients is not discussed with employers.
