FREE Type 2 Diabetes ‘DESMOND’ Courses

FREE upcoming workshops for people living with Type 2 Diabetes

We have two upcoming DESMOND workshops in the West Kimberley:

Broome – Friday 26 October (Lotteries House) to Saturday 27 October (Circle House).

Looma Community – Tuesday 30 October to Wednesday 31 October.

The abbreviation DESMOND stands for Diabetes Education and Self Management for Ongoing and Newly Diagnosed. The program recognises that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to diabetes management. It is intended to provide you with a welcoming and non-judgemental space where you can plan how you would like to manage your diabetes.

DESMOND can help you to:

  • develop a better understanding of diabetes
  • improve your physical activity levels
  • take steps to lose weight
  • reduce your risk of depression
  • lower your HbA1c
  • improve your overall health.

Lunch provided!  You’re welcome to bring a support person with you to the workshop.  More details here:  DESMOND Flyer Broome Oct 2018

Bookings essential. Call Boab Health on 9192 7888 or email reception@boabhealth.com.au to register or find out more information.
